SilverStone Sugo SG07 mini-ITX Case Review

Test Setup

To best test the SG07, we selected Gigabyte's GA-H55N-USB3 mini-ITX motherboard, along with an Intel Core i5-661 CPU, 4GB of OCZ 1.35V 1,333MHz DDR3 and SilverStone's own NT06-E CPU cooler. This setup is intended to use the on-board Intel GMA HD graphics of the i5-661, and we wanted to see whether the psuedo-passive SilverStone cooler (as it has no fan of its own, but is being blown onto by the 180mm roof fan) could handle a 4.4GHz overclock.

We then swapped out the SilverStone heatsink, the 180mm fan (by unscrewing the switch from the case) and replaced it with a Core i5-750 CPU and Titan's Skalli cooler. With the fan removed, the 152mm-tall Skalli just fitted inside the case; anything taller would prevent the 'n' shaped outer shell from fitting. Removing the SilverStone cooler also allowed us to install an 11.5in Asus Radeon HD 5870 graphics card (along with the fan duct) to test the gaming credentials of the SG07 with Crysis.
